How you start your day can be a huge factor in determining how the rest of your day will go. Especially during the week trying to come out ready to go is essential. I highly recommend these tips for being able to wake up and be productive.
1. Get Enough Sleep
This is super important because when you sleep your body recovers from all of the days tasks. It is critical that you get enough sleep to wake up feeling refreshed and energized. It won’t make getting up easier but it will help with the urge to roll over and go back to sleep.
2. Wake up to music
This sounds a little cliche but instead of hearing that obnoxious sound of your alarm when you wake you will feel much better if you wake up to your favorite tunes. You are more likely to want to get out of bed and get the day started as well as be happier when you do wake up.
3. Have Rituals To Look Forward To
This is another tip I found super useful. For me I love to wake up in the morning and get a cup of coffee but that’s me. You should find something to do in the morning that you know you will wake up and be excited to do everyday. for some people it is exercising, going for a run, or putting their makeup on. It really depends on the type of person you are but I found that this has really helped.
4. Have You Time
Before you start getting ready you should take 10 minutes for yourself to just relax and focus your thoughts for the day. You can think about what you want to accomplish by the end of the day. Take the times to just close your eyes and be in your head for a few minutes. This is your chance to destress before you get to work.
